The Rose K lens is specifically designed to be easy adjust in the specific arias. The design can be supplied in a spherical, edge-toric, inner-toric or bi-toric variant.

Order

The lens is standard made of Boston ES or XO material. The proportions between the optical zone, B.C.R. and lens diameter are standard. The lens is designed to allow good tear ventilation under the lens, with a minimum thickness and a maximum optical zone in order to maintain the maximum optical range at each basic radius curve.

Fitting advice

Use the Diagnostic-lenses as a frame of reference for measuring.
Start with a Diagnostic lens 0.20 deeper than the flattest K.
Adjust the B.C.R. by changing it until a very light contact area, 2 to 3 mm in size, can be observed. This is regardless of the periphery or lens diameter required. Determining the edge lift can only be done after the B.C.R. was measured from the Diagnostic lens.
Less edge lift is available in two steps: standard decreased * extra decreased. *
More edge lift is available in four steps: standard increased * increased 1 * increased 2 * increased 3 * * * If an increased or decreased lift is ordered we will automatically make small adjustments in the B.C.R. and power.
Lens power calculation: perform the over refraction after the correct B.C.R. has been determined and the patient has the lens in for ± 20 minutes. Use the single letters to determine the refraction.
The diagnostic lenses are without UV filter in order to be able to determine the fluorescein image properly.
The final lenses are supplied with a UV filter. Use a yellow filter to determine the fluorescein image.
In the case of re-adjustment, where patients have worn lenses that are too flat and/or larger, it is necessary to first use a lens diameter between the fitting diameter (8.70) and the lens diameter that the patient has worn as an intermediate step. However, use the fitting radius and power found using the Diagnostic lenses.
If the patient needs a re-adjustment because the current lens is too flat in terms of radius, this can lead to a lesser vision during the first weeks. This will recover within a few weeks. In these cases, it is advisable to monitor the development of the cone and, if necessary, to adjust the radius.
